Rilis Pengembangan openmamba GNU/Linux 2.0 Pre 1
Silvan Calarco mengumumkan ketersediaan rilis tes pertama openmamba GNU/Linux 2.0, distribusi ini menyertakan KDE 4 dan menggunakan RPM package management :
I’m happy to announce the immediate availability of openmamba milestone2 2.0pre1, the new version of the GNU/Linux operating system for laptop, desktop and server PCs. Rilis Pengembangan EasyPeasy 1.6 Beta 1
Jon Ramvi mengumumkan ketersediaan rilis beta pertama EasyPeasy 1.6, Distribusi berbasis Ubuntu yang telah dioptimisasi untuk netbooks:

Rilis NetSecL 2.6
Iuri Stanchev mengumumkan rilis NetSecL 2.6, sebuah distribusi berbasis Slackware yang diperkuat dengan proteksi GCC Stack Smashing dan berbagai fitur keamanan lainnya:
NetSecL 2.6 released. In the new release you will find QEMU, servers and new penetration tools. We took our time to separate the usual network utilities and penetration tools and add them in a new section. Also, you will find that now we have a section called ‘srv’ with some server packages in it. There are many updates to the libraries and additional bindings to Perl and Python that we hope will be useful for future programs included with the distribution. You will also find in the distribution ISO a VMX file created with VMmanager which you can use for creating a virtual machine – mount the ISO copy the VMX folder, unmount the ISO (that you just copied), move it to the VMX folder and start it with VMware Player.

Rilis Vine Linux 5.1
Daisuke Suzuki mengumumkan rilis VineLinux 5.1 (code name “Cheval Blanc”), distribusi komunitas yang menggunakan bahasa Jepang ini tersedia dalam arsitektur i386, x86_64 dan PowerPC. Ini merupakan update minor dalam seri Vine 5.x yang memasukkan seluruh seri yang mengintegrasikan seluruh perbaikan bug dan update keamanan yang diumumkan sejak rilis 5.0. Update ini merupakan bagian dari persiapan proyek Vine Linux untuk Open Source Conference 2010 yang berlangsung selama hari dan akan dimulai di Tokyo, Jepang.

Rilis Ubuntu 10.04 Alpha 3
Steve Langasek mengumumkan rilis alpha ketiga Ubuntu 10.04 yang dikenal dengan sebutan “Lucid Lynx”:
Welcome to Lucid Lynx Alpha 3, which will in time become Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. New features: The default search engine has been changed to Yahoo! The default home page will use either Google or Yahoo! depending on user setting. Alpha 3 includes the 2.6.32 kernel based on 2.6.32.8. Alpha 3 of Kubuntu features the new KDE SC 4.4. The nouveau video driver is now the default for NVIDIA hardware, this driver provides kernel mode setting, which will give improved resolution detection. We now feature built-in integration with Twitter, identi.ca, Facebook, and other social networks with the MeMenu in the panel.

Rilis SimplyMEPIS 8.5 RC1
Warren Woodford mengumukan ketersediaan Release Candidate pertama SimplyMEPIS 8.5, versi baru distribusi desktop berbasis Debian yang menawarkan KDE 4:
SimplyMEPIS 8.4.98, release candidate 1 of MEPIS 8.5, is now available from MEPIS and public mirrors. Major packages have not changed since beta5, but we have made a number of minor tweaks to improve the user experience. We still have work to do on MEPIS components and the community is in the process of finalizing an updated user manual. ISO images of MEPIS community releases are published to the ‘released’ subdirectory at the MEPIS subscriber’s site and at MEPIS public mirrors. To support the ongoing development of MEPIS community editions, users are encouraged to go to become MEPIS subscribers at the MEPIS store.
