Rilis baru versi, labelled as 2025.07.04, comes dengan diperbarui paket as well as various important perubahan. Most notably, the distribusi kini menggunakan the XanMod kernel, a general-purpose Linux kernel dengan custom settings dan third-party patches. Previously, Melawy Linux used a kernel built by CachyOS untuk ditingkatkan performance dan responsiveness, but the CachyOS kernel does not work on some laptops. Also, the XanMod kernel menawarkan dukungan untuk Waydroid, a container-based method that enables Android untuk run in a containerized environment on Linux systems.
