After more than two months of constant hard work, the first beta of VLOS 2.2 is officially released. This release includes many improvements, among which we can find the following: live DVD – install it or just use it as rescue DVD; shipped with Tweetdeck, social networking framework; Blender, 3D modeling software; the latest Thunderbird email client; new Anaconda installer based on Sabayon Linux; desktop-optimized Sabayon Linux kernel 2.6.35; GParted with support for many file systems; Eclipse developer IDE; support for new iPod and iPhone through libmobile and gtkpod; graphics editing tools including Inkspace, GIMP, Shotwell and Dia; Boxee media center and Hulu desktop; VirtuaBox virtual machine software and guest additions….
