Rilis Mythbuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx

Mythbuntu 10.04, varian Ubuntu yang didesain untuk digunakan di PC home theater telah dirilis dan siap untuk diunduh:

Mythbuntu 10.04 has been released. It is very important to note that this release is only compatible with MythTV 0.23 systems. Previous\ Mythbuntu releases can be upgraded to MythTV 0.23 with the builds located here. For a fuller explanation see here. Changes from Mythbuntu 9.10: snappier front-end; better integration with system services like Upstart and ConsoleKit; new MCC plugins; simplified live front-end; MythTV 0.23 build 24104 is included; preview of the upcoming MythNetvision plugin (this application is still undergoing rapid development, so please do not file bug reports on this release); Mythbuntu theme fixes; new theme – ArcLight.

Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) Beta 2

Rilis Beta Kedua Ubuntu 10.04 atau yang dikenal dengan codename “Lucid Lynx”, telah dirilis dan siap untuk dites:

The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the second beta release of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Long-Term Support) Desktop and Server editions and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server for Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud (UEC) and Amazon’s EC2, as well as Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook edition.

pengumuman rilis untuk beta 2 ini mirip dengan penumuman rilis beta 1, sementara catatan rilis juga sangat mirip kecuali beberapa masalah yang telah diselesaikan dan satu bug baru yang diketahui yaitu :
“ketika kita mengaktifkan array RAID 1 dalam degraded mode dilaporkan membuat disk yang ada didalam RAID dilaporkan dalam kondisi sync padahal dalam kenyataanya tidak, hal ini menyebabkan data hilang”.

Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx Beta1 Siap Diunduh Setelah kemarin rilis lucid lynx Beta1 sempat diundur sehari, kemarin tim pengembang Ubuntu merilis Ubuntu Lucid Lynx Beta1. Themes baru “Light” yang akan menggantikan Themes Human yang sudah digunakan oleh ubuntu selama 6 tahun terakhir sudah mulai disertakan (alpha-3 masih menggunakan themes human). Selamat mencoba. selamat mencari kutu :)

Rilis Mythbuntu 9.10

Mythbuntu 9.10 telah dirilis, Mythbuntu adalah distribusi khusus untuk sistem home theater yang mengawinkan ubuntu dengan MythTV :

Mythbuntu is built upon the base of Ubuntu and thus has all the features of Ubuntu. Features: Mythbuntu Control Centre – used to modify settings on a Mythbuntu system that are not necessarily MythTV specific; Mythbuntu Log Grabber – grabs specific log files into a single area and can upload them to pastebin for easy troubleshooting; partitioner creates one large partition (ext4); auto-builds are now easily enabled/disabled via an installable package; MythTV 0.22.0-zrc1 included; MythTV backend now uses upstart, this allows automatic restarting of the backend in the event of a failure. New features in MythTV 0.22: MythUI support allowing fancier themes; support for VDPAU; MythVideo storage groups….
