Rilis Lubuntu 10.04 Beta 2

Julien Lavergne mengumumkan ketersediaan rilis beta kedua Lubuntu 10.04, distribusi berbasis Ubuntu yang mengintegrasikan desktop LXDE:

Lubuntu ‘Lucid’ beta 2 is now available. We passed feature freeze – that means that most of the features should now be available. It’s now time for testing and fixing bugs. New stuff since beta 1: auto-login at install time; support for encrypted home directory; up-to-date LXDM, libfm and PCManFM2. Lubuntu still contains modifications not available in the official repository: new PCManFM2 and libfm; lubuntu-default-settings with PCmanFM2 support; fix for blurry shutdown icon from elementary icons; auto-login support in Ubiquity; new LXDM. I’ll appreciate some feedback about the followings recent additions: PCManFM2 – the new file manager is still in beta state; the new LXDM may have fixed some issue regarding keyring and PAM support, but it needs more tests.

Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) Beta 2

Rilis Beta Kedua Ubuntu 10.04 atau yang dikenal dengan codename “Lucid Lynx”, telah dirilis dan siap untuk dites:

The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the second beta release of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Long-Term Support) Desktop and Server editions and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server for Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud (UEC) and Amazon’s EC2, as well as Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook edition.

pengumuman rilis untuk beta 2 ini mirip dengan penumuman rilis beta 1, sementara catatan rilis juga sangat mirip kecuali beberapa masalah yang telah diselesaikan dan satu bug baru yang diketahui yaitu :
“ketika kita mengaktifkan array RAID 1 dalam degraded mode dilaporkan membuat disk yang ada didalam RAID dilaporkan dalam kondisi sync padahal dalam kenyataanya tidak, hal ini menyebabkan data hilang”.

Rilis Lubuntu 10.04 Beta 1, Ubuntu rasa LXDE

Julien Lavergne telah mengumumkan ketersediaan rilis beta pertama Lubuntu 10.04, sebuah varian non-resmi Ubuntu yang menawarkan desktop environment ringan LXDE sebagai desktop default :

Lubuntu ‘Lucid Lynx’ beta 1 released. New stuff since alpha 3: new logo; addition to the seed – gnome-disk-utility and simple-scan. Specific Lubuntu changes: new PCMan File Manager 2 and libfm; Lubuntu artwork with new logo; LXSession 0.4.3; LXTerminal 0.1.7; auto-start GNOME authentication (for polkit support); fix for blurry shut-down icon from elementary icons; don’t auto-start print applet. Known bug: if you test on a USB, the first screen will freeze for a moment when you click on ‘Try Lubuntu’ – just wait, it will continue as normal. If you want to create a bootable USB system, please use the USB Creator directly on Ubuntu.
