Rilis Untangle Gateway 9.1

Untangle 9.1. With this release, we have made enhancements and fixes to the platform itself and to a number of applications. Changelog: the application order in the rack has been revised; event logs have been reimplemented, columns have been added, improvement improved, and options added; many usability improvements in the installation and setup wizards; application downloads now show progress correctly; many application settings have been moved from PostgreSQL to files; local directory users are now saved in a file; BerkeleyDB has been removed; DHCP renewing no longer restarts networking (nor disrupt VPN connections); SIP helper is now disabled by default; improve start-up time.

The second beta has arrived. Along with the usual bug fixes, the two significant changes from beta 1 are: updated base system to CentOS 5.4 (released just last week); updated Samba to prepare for improved Windows 7 support. Other changes: added new validation to make sure user, group and flexshare names do not overlap; fixed missing ‘allusers’ Samba group mapping; added missing file that broke some webconfig pages; exposed the Domain Admins group in the web interface; re-added most of the missing reports, still a work in progress; fixed logo on web server start page….
Today I am proud to announce the release of version 2.3 of Endian Firewall Community. This release includes many features that were previously available only to users of the Enterprise edition, as well as some completely new features. These new features are: backups can now be stored to and recovered from attached USB mass storage devices; the main page has been replaced by a dashboard with statistics about the system and its services; emails can be sent automatically for predefined events; it is possible to add time-based access control lists for the HTTP proxy; Snort rules can now be configured….
